Sunday the 24th of June

The garden is at the height of its lushness. There were plenty of strawberries for everyone to try and some garlic to take home too. The flowers and orchard are looking mighty.

Elsa’s Rainy and Sunny and Rainy and Sunny Herb Tour

June 25, 2012 at 8:20 pm (Uncategorized)

Elsa our local herb expert gave a tour of all the different herbs and their properties¬†in Robin Hood Community Gardens on Sunday the 24th of June. A good crowd turned up even though the weather was pretty iffy and kept on sweeping between sun and rain. The rain didn’t deter Elsa or the visitors who thoroughly enjoyed being in the garden and learning about the medicinal qualities and uses of the various herbs we have. Most left with a selection of herbs themselves to use in cooking, tinctures or to dry for use later. Thank you Elsa.
