A Summer riot of nature in E5

The wild flower bed at its summer peak with poppies, daisies and cornflowers to attract the insects

Beef tomatoes beefing up.

Maimie and Josef made a grave for dead insects. They found ‘Blacky’ the Beetle squashed on the path and then held a ceremony for him at the back of the garden. RIP.

A hot sunny Sunday at the beginning of the summer holidays. Pete makes a child’s rattle out of weaving the grass together originally it would have had a bumble bee inside to make the rattle sound.
